Our Torta del Casar, Pastoralia, is a natural 100% cheese, made using traditional methods with raw sheep's milk from controlled herds, vegetable rennet and salt.
The result is a cheese with a light, semi-hard rind and a creamy texture. It has lactic and vegetable aromas and an intense taste, which is melting on the palate, slightly salty and slightly bitter (due to the vegetable rennet).
Suggestions for consumption
- Taste it with a spoon.
- Spread on small pieces of toast.
- Combine it with sweet ingredients, such as honey or jam, or even with dried fruit, such as figs, or fresh fruit, such as blueberries. It can also be enjoyed with natural nuts such as almonds, walnuts or cashew nuts.
