La Chouffe Blonde
Brasserie D'Achouffe's flagship, La Chouffe, is an unfiltered, top-fermented, Belgian Strong Ale with secondary fermentation in the bottle. This strong lager is brewed with the highest quality natural ingredients including water, yeast, barley malt, coriander and Saaz, Styrian Golding hops. It is cloudy in appearance and has a golden colour with a dense and persistent head. It shows fruity aromas with citrus notes and a hint of coriander. The taste is smooth and pleasantly malty and fruity. 8% alc/vol.
Chouffe Blanche
An unfiltered Witbier-style wheat beer brewed with pale barley malt, wheat malt, Perle hops, coriander and lemon seeds. The taste is smooth, spicy and very refreshing, with notes of citrus and coriander. Best served at a temperature of 6º C. 6% alc/vol.
Chouffe Houblon
Belgian Tripel IPA craft beer that recreates the bitterness of IPAs using three different types of hops: Tomahawk, Saaz and Amarillo. The result is an intense beer with a spicy, citrus and floral aroma and a strong bitter presence. It has a cloudy, golden colour and a dense, persistent head. The aroma is perfumed, herbal and citrusy with a spicy background. On the palate it is bitter, citric and herbal with notes of grapefruit and little alcoholic presence. Bitter and persistent finish. 9% alc/vol.
Mc Chouffe
High fermentation beer with secondary fermentation in the bottle, inspired by the Scotch Ale from Scotland, a very common beer style in the province of Wallonia. It is brewed with Styrians and Saaz hops, Pilsen malts and candy sugar. The result is a dark, powerful, full-bodied beer with notes of aniseed liquorice and caramel. 8% alc/vol.
Brasserie D'Achouffe
The history of Brasserie D'Achouffe began in the 1970s, when the two brothers-in-law Pierre Gobron and Chris Bauweraerts started brewing beer in a garage. Gradually their beers became successful and in 1986 they decided to go into full brewing. In 1992 production increased from 3400 to 5000 hectolitres per year and in May 2009 they started to produce 33 cl bottles. Today Brasserie D'Achouffe belongs to the Duvel Moortgat brewing group. The history of Chouffe beers is linked to the legend of the gnomes of the Vallée des Fées (fairy valley), according to which the gnomes decided to share their secret recipe with humans as a symbol of friendship.
