Pack St Bernardus 6 Beers 2 glasses

Looking for beer as a gift? This St. Bernardus abbey beer pack is the perfect gift for any Belgian beer lover. It contains 6 St Bernardus beers (2x Prior 8, 2x ABT 12, 2x Tripel) and two original 15 cl glasses specially designed for tasting.
St. Bernardus Prior 8 is an Abbey Dubbel style beer, top fermented with secondary fermentation in the bottle. It is brewed with pure water from the wells of St Bernard's Abbey, local hops and an extraordinary own yeast strain. It has a mahogany colour with amber highlights and a fine beige head. The aroma is fruity with notes of sultanas, malt, spices and hops. The palate is warm with chocolate, spices and notes of malt and yeast. Alcohol content: 8 proof.
St. Bernardus ABT 12 is a Quadrupel-style beer, characterised by its high alcohol content and powerful flavour. It is brewed with high purity water from the abbey's wells and undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle. It has a mahogany, opaque colour with a medium, ivory-coloured head. It has a malty aroma with smoky, spicy, fruity and floral notes. Pleasant and complex flavour with a predominance of sweet notes of caramel, malt and yeast and a background of coffee. Alcohol content: 10 proof.
St. Bernardus Tripel is an Abbey Tripel style beer, created according to a proprietary recipe by Guy Claus, St Bernard's brewmaster, and inspired by his collaboration with the brewmaster of St Sixtus. Like the other St Bernardus, it is brewed using water from the Watou subsoil and undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle. It has an amber colour with mahogany highlights and a rich white head. It has floral and fruity aromas with the presence of banana and alcohol. Light and very balanced flavour of hops and malt. Alcohol content: 8 degrees.
Brouwerij St Bernardus

The history of these beers begins when the cheese factory of the Notre Dame de St. Bernard Refuge in Watou received a licence to brew the beers from the Trappist monastery of St. Sixtus in Westvleteren, on the condition that their production would be carried out under the supervision of the monks of St Sixtus and only sold to a couple of nearby taverns. In 1992 the licence was terminated and the name of the beers was changed to St Bernardus. The beers were still brewed according to the recipes of St Sixtus of Westvleteren and using their original yeast. St. Bernardus beers are of enormous quality and are considered to be among the best in the world.
